What is cross section-section
Your description gives on dimension - 6mm.
What is the other dimension, please?
Number of strips/cuts/leads
the width is 6m, the height is 4mm
I'm looking to fit these LED strips into a routed groove on 3 shelves - each internal shelf groove is 124cm long (they will take the stated 4mm height by 6mm width of the tape)
Would you suggest using:
1 x 3000mm length (and cutting down to 2 pieces of 1240mm)
1 x 2000mm length (and cutting down to 1 piece of 1240mm)
With a 25 watt driver:
It's just confusing how many cuts you can make per strip and if there is a cable on both ends of the strip to make the connection (I saw on a previous answer "There is only one fly lead supplied per tape unless specified".
Do I need to specify 2 fly leads on the 3000mm length?
Thanks for the advice!
Hi Yes that would be fine, when you place your order in the notes you can request a fly lead to be at each end so you can make your cuts.
I require 6 different lengths, will I need a separate driver for each.
Type of dimmer mains dimmer switch
No You can run them all off one driver as long as you do not exceed the wattage of the driver
Would a trailing edge dimmer work with the driver module? I want to connect this light to a multi dimmer which will also be directly controlling LED bulbs?
Yes that will work fine
Hello. If I buy 4 x 1m strip lights. Two on each opposite wall. (Two strips per light switch). Which LED driver and dimmer would I require? Thanks
You would require the below dimmable driver
hi, which driver do I need for a 3m strip that I'm going to fit under a bar?
Driver product code - SY7350A/MF
We want to put the lighting on the top of kitchen cabinets which are about 4 inches from the ceiling. How hot/warm does the drivers become when in use?
The driver should not give out any real heat at all.
Is this tape self adhesive or do I require clips or some sort of fixing to attach it?
The tape is self adhesive
Hello. Would I be able to cut a 2m length into 3 strips of roughly 60cm?
No you would need to buy 3 x 1m lengths and cut them down to 60cm.
1) How are cut sections connected?
2) Why are only 2 cuts permitted per tape (as in a previous answer)?
3) How are 90 degree corners achieved?
Many thanks in anticipation.
1. Once cut the tape can not be joined or connected to another piece of tape.
2. There is only one fly lead supplied per tape unless specified
3. It can not go tight round 90 degree corners
We are planning to rout out a groove underneath a shelf to fit these lights in flush are they suitable.
The shelf will be 2.8 metres and the lights will be dimmable so which driver would be suitable
Connection of LED tape to driver port
You would require the 30 Watt Dimmable LED Driver
Does the tape come with a cable to connect the tape to the port on the driver or do I need to buy the cable separately if so which cable?
Is the tape usually fixed into a groove or surfaced mounted? We are looking at this for some under shelf lighting in the kitchen. Thanks
The tape comes with the cable to connect to the driver
For 1 meter length, can it be plugged into an existing 8w driver?
Yes the 8 Watt driver will be correct for the 1m tape
Are the strips waterproof?
What is the height - not width you have provided that ?
which is the best driver to use?
The tape is IP65 rated, but is only suitable for internal use, the height is 4mm
Hi we need just 1.5 metres of LED tape lighting wired to a 240v fused switch ,which driver would you recommend ?
it would be the 20 watt LED driver - with 6 way port
Whats the maximum number of pieces a section can be cut into and used?
Can a 5metre section be cut into 5x1metre usable sections?
The maximum number of cuts would be 2 from 1 length
Do these have self adhesive tape on the back?
Will this bend easily around a 90 degree corner?
No it won't bend round a 90 degree corner
can cut a 3m length into 2 parts and run from one driver?
Hi, would these work with a PIR sensor?
Can these lights be hard wired
Yes they can, you would require an LED Driver to wire into the 240v
