How is this mounted? The bottom of my kitchen cupboard on which I would mount the lights is just some thin aluminium.

The surface mounted fittings attach by screwing up with the screws provided into the kitchen cabinet.

I need to order 2 more LED cabinet lights to a recent installation. How can I order the short cables between the Driver socket and the light cable plug?

Each light comes with 2m of cable from the light. you can also order 1.5m extension cables if you need longer cable.
